Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SoundCollector software, website, downloads, and related services ("Services").
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using SoundCollector, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
License grant
Upon purchase, SoundCollector grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software.
This license permits:
- Installation on up to the permitted number of devices
- Personal and commercial audio production use
- Use within compatible DAWs and standalone workflows
You may not:
- Redistribute the software
- Resell license keys
- Reverse engineer or attempt to bypass licensing systems
- Share activations publicly or commercially
- Use the software unlawfully
Ownership
SoundCollector and all related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of SoundCollector and its owners. Purchasing a license grants usage rights only and does not transfer ownership.
Activations
Licenses may include activation limits. SoundCollector reserves the right to:
- Limit excessive activations
- Disable fraudulent or abused licenses
- Reset activations at its discretion
Reasonable personal use across owned devices is permitted.
Updates and changes
SoundCollector may:
- Release updates
- Modify features
- Improve licensing systems
- Fix bugs and compatibility issues
Not all updates are guaranteed to remain backward compatible with all systems or hosts.
Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of:
- Website services
- Downloads
- Activation systems
- Update services
Temporary downtime may occur due to maintenance or technical issues.
Disclaimer
The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundCollector disclaims:
- Implied warranties
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
You assume all responsibility for use of the software.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundCollector shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data
- Loss of business
- Audio session interruption
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Hardware or software incompatibilities
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the software license.
Termination
SoundCollector may suspend or terminate licenses in cases of:
- Fraud
- Abuse
- Unauthorized redistribution
- Violation of these Terms
Upon termination, license rights immediately end.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Iceland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
